If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn’t. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn’t be. And what it wouldn’t be, it would. You see? — LC
Greetings:) loving florida now!!
Recently, I found out about Cystic Fibrosis.
After doing some research about Cystic Fibrosis, I found that it is a common recessive genetic diseasewhich affects the entire body, causing progressive disability and often early death. Cystic fibrosis affects about 30,000 children and adults in the United States. More than 70% of these people were diagnosed by age two and only 45% is over the age of 18.
During the 1950’s, very little CF patients lived to attend elementary school. Today, extensive reasearch and medical treatments have further extended life for these children and adults with CF. Many people with the disease can now expect to live into their 30s, 40s and beyond.
One non-profit organization I came across was the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Their mission is to assure the development of the means to cure and control Cystic Fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease (as found on their website www.cff.org).
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has worked tirelessly to extend and enhance life for those with Cystic Fibrosis, and will continue to until this disease it conquered.
For more information on Cystic Fibrosis and learning how you too can make a difference in the lives of the men, women, and children diagnosed with CF, please visit their website at www.CFF.org.
